This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains the cancellation and refund arrangements that may apply when you purchase a service, programme or digital product from THE EL BODEN METHOD LIMITED (“The El Boden Method”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
Nothing in this policy affects any statutory rights you have as a consumer.
1. About Us
THE EL BODEN METHOD LIMITED
Company number: 17347563
Registered in England and Wales
Registered office (statutory address): 66 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NA
Email: [email protected]
2. Free Resources and Free Clarity Calls
There is no charge for resources or Clarity Calls that are expressly described as free.
If you are unable to attend a booked Clarity Call, we ask that you cancel or rearrange it as soon as reasonably possible so that the appointment can be made available to somebody else.
3. Your Right to Cancel a Paid Service
If you are a consumer purchasing an eligible service online, you will normally have a 14-day cancellation period beginning on the day after the contract is entered into, unless a legal exception applies.
You do not need to provide a reason for exercising a statutory right to cancel.
To cancel, please contact us clearly stating that you wish to cancel your purchase.
Email: [email protected]
4. Services Starting During the Cancellation Period
You may sometimes want a paid service to begin before the 14-day cancellation period has ended.
Where required, we will ask you to expressly request that the service begins during that period.
If you request early performance and subsequently exercise a statutory right to cancel, you may be required to pay a reasonable and proportionate amount for any service that has already been provided up to the point at which you cancel.
If a service has been fully performed during the cancellation period following the necessary request and acknowledgement from you, your statutory right to cancel may end once the service has been fully supplied.
5. Digital Products and Immediate Downloads
Some of our products may be supplied digitally, including downloadable PDFs, resources, recordings, course materials or other digital content.
Where you purchase digital content and ask for immediate access during the usual 14-day cancellation period, we may ask you to:
Give your express consent for the digital content to be supplied immediately; and
Acknowledge that, once supply begins, you may lose your statutory right to cancel.
Where the legally required consent and acknowledgement have been obtained and digital supply has begun, a change-of-mind cancellation right may no longer apply.
This does not remove any legal rights you may have if digital content is faulty, misdescribed or otherwise does not meet the standards required by consumer law.
6. Refunds Where a Statutory Cancellation Right Applies
Where you validly exercise a statutory cancellation right and a refund is due, we will process the refund in accordance with applicable consumer law.
Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase unless another method is expressly agreed.
Where part of a service has already been supplied at your request during the cancellation period, any lawful proportionate charge for that service may be deducted before the balance is refunded.
7. Cancellations Outside a Statutory Cancellation Period
If no statutory cancellation right applies, or the applicable cancellation period has ended, any cancellation or refund will be considered in accordance with:
The terms provided when you purchased the particular service or programme;
The amount of the service already delivered;
Any digital materials or access already supplied; and
Your statutory consumer rights.
We will always aim to deal with genuine concerns fairly and reasonably.
8. Rescheduling Appointments or Sessions
If you need to rearrange a booked appointment or session, please contact us as early as reasonably possible.
Any specific rescheduling, missed-session or cancellation arrangements applying to a paid programme or service will be made clear before you purchase or book that service.
9. If We Cancel or Rearrange
Occasionally, circumstances outside our reasonable control may mean that we need to cancel or rearrange a session, event or service.
Where possible, we will offer an alternative date or reasonable alternative arrangement.
Where we cancel a paid service and are unable to provide an appropriate alternative, we will provide any refund that is due for the part of the service we have not supplied.
10. Faulty or Unsatisfactory Services
Paid services provided by The El Boden Method will be provided with reasonable care and skill.
If you believe a paid service has not been provided as agreed or with reasonable care and skill, please contact us so that we can investigate and, where appropriate, offer a suitable remedy.
Nothing in this policy limits the remedies available to you under applicable consumer law.
11. Faulty Digital Content
Digital content supplied for payment must meet the standards required by UK consumer law.
If paid digital content is faulty, does not match its description or otherwise fails to meet applicable legal standards, you may have statutory rights to remedies such as repair, replacement, price reduction or, in qualifying circumstances, a refund.
Please contact us if you experience a problem with paid digital content so that we can try to resolve it promptly.
12. Payment Plans
Where a service is purchased through an agreed payment plan, the total price and payment schedule will be made clear before purchase.
Cancelling a payment method or stopping a payment does not, by itself, cancel a contract or remove an amount that has already become properly payable.
Any statutory cancellation or refund rights will continue to apply regardless of whether payment was made in full or by instalments.
13. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund
To request a cancellation, refund or discuss a concern about a purchase, please email:
Please include sufficient information for us to identify your purchase, such as your name, email address and the service or product concerned.
We may ask for additional information where reasonably necessary to investigate the request.
14. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Cancellation & Refund Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or replace any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where this policy and your statutory consumer rights differ, your statutory rights will take precedence.
