Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 9 August 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of theelbodenmethod.com and any resources, services, calls, programmes or digital products supplied by THE EL BODEN METHOD LIMITED.

By using this website, requesting a resource, booking a service or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. The El Boden Method

The El Boden Method provides educational information, resources and support intended to help adults better understand children’s behaviour, emotional regulation and related challenges.

Our services may include free resources, Clarity Calls, educational materials, digital products, courses, programmes and consultancy or support services.

The exact content, format, duration and price of any paid service will be explained before you agree to purchase it.

3. Educational Information — Not Medical or Therapeutic Advice

The information and support provided through The El Boden Method are educational in nature.

They are not a substitute for medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, legal or other regulated professional advice.

No information provided through the website, a resource, a Clarity Call, a course or another service should be treated as a diagnosis of a child or adult.

If you have concerns about a child’s health, development, safety or wellbeing, you should seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional.

4. No Guarantee of Particular Outcomes

Every child, family and situation is different.

We aim to provide practical, compassionate and evidence-informed educational support. However, we cannot guarantee that a particular strategy, resource or service will produce a specific result.

Progress may depend on factors outside our control, including individual circumstances, consistency, environment and the needs of the child or family.

5. Free Resources

From time to time, we may offer free resources, including The Calm Response Script.

Free resources are supplied for personal use only unless we expressly state otherwise.

You may download and use them for your own personal or family use. You must not sell, reproduce, redistribute, publish or present them as your own work without our written permission.

6. Clarity Calls

A Clarity Call is intended to help you discuss what you are noticing, what you have already tried and whether The El Boden Method may be suitable for you.

A free Clarity Call does not create an obligation for either party to enter into a paid agreement.

We may decline or discontinue a call where we reasonably believe our services are not appropriate for the circumstances.

If you need to cancel or rearrange a call, please give as much notice as reasonably possible.

7. Paid Services and Programmes

Where you purchase a service or programme, the description, price and key terms shown at the point of purchase form part of your agreement with us.

We will provide services with reasonable care and skill, as required by UK consumer law.

You agree to provide information reasonably necessary for us to deliver the service and to participate in a respectful and appropriate manner.

We may refuse or discontinue a service where there is abusive, threatening or inappropriate behaviour, subject to any statutory rights you may have.

8. Prices and Payment

Prices will be displayed before you commit to a purchase.

Any applicable payment arrangements, instalments or recurring charges will be explained before payment is taken.

Payment may be processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not require you to provide payment-card details directly to us where payment is handled through that provider.

Failure to make an agreed payment may result in access to a paid service being suspended until the matter is resolved.

9. Your Right to Cancel

Where you purchase qualifying services online as a consumer, you will normally have a 14-day cancellation period beginning when the contract is entered into, subject to the exceptions provided by law. Distance sellers must also provide certain pre-contract information about cancellation, price and the service being supplied.

If you specifically ask us to begin providing a paid service during the cancellation period and later cancel, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the service already provided.

Further details will be set out in our Cancellation and Refund Policy and, where relevant, at the point of purchase.

Nothing in these Terms removes or reduces any statutory consumer rights.

10. Digital Products and Immediate Access

Some products may be supplied digitally, for example PDFs, downloadable resources, recorded materials or online course content.

UK consumer law gives specific protections to digital content, including requirements relating to satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and correspondence with its description.

Where paid digital content is supplied immediately during the usual cancellation period, we may ask you to expressly consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that your statutory cancellation right may be lost once supply begins.

Where the law gives you a remedy for faulty or non-conforming digital content, these Terms do not affect that right.

11. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content of this website and materials provided by The El Boden Method — including written content, downloads, graphics, branding, frameworks, course materials and resources — belongs to THE EL BODEN METHOD LIMITED or is used with permission.

You may use materials only for the purpose for which they were supplied.

You must not, without written permission:

Copy or reproduce substantial parts of our materials

Sell or commercially redistribute our resources

Upload paid materials to sharing sites or groups

Remove branding or copyright information

Present The El Boden Method materials, concepts or wording as your own

12. Acceptable Use of the Website

You must not use the website:

For unlawful or fraudulent purposes

To interfere with the operation or security of the website

To attempt unauthorised access to systems or information

To transmit malicious software

To misuse forms, booking systems or contact facilities

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, our business or other users.

13. Third-Party Websites and Services

Our website may contain links to services operated by other organisations.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices or terms of third-party websites.

Any purchase or relationship entered into directly with a third party is subject to that organisation’s terms.

14. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including any liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK consumer law.

We are not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We are not liable for a particular outcome simply because a user has followed educational information or a suggested strategy, particularly where the result depends on individual circumstances outside our control.

These Terms do not exclude our obligation to provide consumer services with reasonable care and skill or other statutory protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Safeguarding and Urgent Concerns

The El Boden Method is not an emergency or safeguarding-response service.

If you believe a child or another person is at immediate risk of harm, seek help from the appropriate emergency, health or safeguarding service rather than relying on the website, email or a scheduled Clarity Call.

16. Privacy and Cookies

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our use of cookies and similar technologies is explained in our Cookie Policy.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions when our services, website or legal obligations change.

The version published on this website will show the date it was last updated.

Changes will not remove rights that have already arisen under an existing consumer contract.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from relying on any rights relating to jurisdiction that cannot lawfully be excluded.
